About the Author
After a fifty‑year career in leadership and management, Chet Matterson did something unexpected: he picked up a pen. With no formal literary training but a lifetime of experience, he began writing—not to impress, but to express.
What followed was a creative outpouring across genres: spiritual reflection, fiction, philosophy, civic engagement, and personal inquiry. He didn’t set out to become an author. He simply had something to say.
Chet’s work is guided by a deep curiosity about human nature, power, history, and belief. Whether he’s writing about empires, unions, divine mysteries, or small‑town secrets, his voice stays grounded in wisdom, humility, and the courage to begin again.
He writes not for money or fame, but for the joy of sharing hard‑earned lessons. Alongside his own name, he also writes under the pen names Jen Wei and Ried T. Sbok, allowing him to explore different voices and genres while staying true to the same core questions about people, power, and belief.
His books have reached readers in faith communities, Amish communities, civic groups, classrooms, mystery and thriller circles, and independent publishing networks. Somewhere in these pages, he hopes you find a question, a story, or a bit of clarity that feels like your own.
Exploring people, power, belief, and the choices we make.
